Es war im Herbst 2015, als wir w\u00e4hrend unseres Sizilienurlaubs, neben anderen Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten, auch die ber\u00fchmte Barockstadt Noto besuchten. Nach einem verheerenden Erdbeben im 17. Jh. wurden die St\u00e4dte Noto, Ragusa und Modica vollst\u00e4ndig mit dem dort vorherrschenden gelben Sandstein im Barockstil wiederaufgebaut. Alles sehr sch\u00f6n, alles sehr gelb und leider alles von Touristen \u00fcberlaufen, also schnell weiter zu einem Weingut in der N\u00e4he. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: right; margin: 10px 0 10px 10px; padding: 2px; border: 1px solid #999;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 0;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed?pb=!1m18!1m12!1m3!1d472185.0437412652!2d14.532588916312267!3d36.84445630596189!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x0%3A0x96c3d7e52b22e5af!2sZisola+Srl+Agricola!5e0!3m2!1sde!2sde!4v1478549904627\" width=\"270\" height=\"200\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Das Weingut Zisola liegt nur wenige Kilometer vom Stadtzentrum Notos entfernt und geh\u00f6rt zur Kellerei Mazzei. Zu Mazzei geh\u00f6ren neben Zisola noch die beiden toskanischen G\u00fcter Castello di Fonterutoli und Tenuta Belguardo.<\/p>\n<p>Die Familie Mazzei war schon lange in Sizilien verliebt, vor allem Fillipo Mazzei, und auf der Suche nach geeigneten Fl\u00e4chen f\u00fcr einen sizilianischen &#8222;Ableger&#8220;. Hinichtlich der Bodenstruktur und der H\u00f6he wurden die Mazzeis in der Region um Noto bei Zisola f\u00fcndig. Die B\u00f6den sind mineralisch und sehr kalkhaltig (ehemaliger Meeresboden aus dem Karbon mit fossilen Korallen unter einer d\u00fcnnen Humusschicht), der Monti Iblei garantiert eine gute Bodenstruktur. Die relative N\u00e4he zum Meer und die begrenzte H\u00f6he sichern eine leichte Luftbewegung und einen ausreichenden Wechsel der Tag\/Nacht-Temperaturen.\u00a0 Drei historische Wirtschaftsgeb\u00e4ude (Bagli) geh\u00f6ren ebenfalls dazu. Neben Wein werden dort auch noch Mandeln, Oliven und Zitronen angebaut. Im Jahr 2003 wurde der Kauf der Fl\u00e4chen besiegelt und es begann eine lange Einrichtungs- und Bepflanzungsphase. Die in mehr als sechs Jahrhunderten gesammelten Erfahrungen (Mazzei existiert seit 1435) f\u00fchrten zu einigen Grundsatzentscheidungen hinsichtlich des Anbaus auf Sizilien.<\/p>\n<p>Beim Wein konzentriert man sich haupts\u00e4chlich und wenig \u00fcberraschend auf Nero d&#8217;Avola. Daneben werden f\u00fcr die roten noch Petit Verdot und Syrah angebaut, sowie noch Grillo und Catarotto f\u00fcr die Wei\u00dfweine. Es wird intensiv bepflanzt (5.500 Pflanzen\/ha) und extensiv geerntet (1kg Trauben\/Pflanze)<\/p>\n<p>Alle Reben werden ausschlie\u00dflich im Albarello-System gezogen. Hierbei werden die Reben in einer niedrigen buschigen Form gehalten, was die Trauben vor Verbrennungen sch\u00fctzt. Diese wohl \u00e4lteste Reb-Erziehungsform brachten bereits die alten Griechen mit auf die Insel und wird von den gro\u00dfen Weing\u00fctern kaum noch eingesetzt, da sie sehr kostenintensiv ist und kaum maschinell zu bearbeiten ist, aber exzellente Qualit\u00e4tsweine hervorbringen kann.<\/p>\n<p>Der Standort mit seinen kalkhaltigen B\u00f6den, hohen Temperaturen und den milden Wintern ist optimal f\u00fcr die gew\u00e4hlten Rebsorten. Nach erfolgreichen Kultivierungen des Petit Verdot in Australien, S\u00fcdafrika und Kalifornien lag es nahe, den Petit Verdot ebenfalls in Sizilien auszuprobieren.<\/p>\n<p>Produziert werden heute ein sortenreiner <strong>Nero d&#8216; Avola \u201eSicilia Noto Rosso DOC Zisola\u201c<\/strong>, ein <strong>Noto Rosso DOC \u201eDoppiozeta\u201c<\/strong> aus 90% Nero d&#8217;Avola und 10% Syrah, der <a href=\"https:\/\/vocella.de\/index.php\/2016\/11\/14\/zisola-effe-emme-ein-kleiner-gruenling-auf-sizilien\/\"><strong>IGT \u201eEffe Emme\u201c<\/strong><\/a> aus 100% Petit Verdot, auf den ich in <a href=\"https:\/\/vocella.de\/index.php\/2016\/11\/14\/zisola-effe-emme-ein-kleiner-gruenling-auf-sizilien\/\">einem sp\u00e4teren Beitrag<\/a> genauer eingehen werde, sowie der weisse <strong>\u201eSicilia DOC Azisa\u201c<\/strong> aus je 50% Grillo und Catarotto.<\/p>\n<p>Die Erfolge lie\u00dfen nicht lange auf sich warten. Wie vom Hause Mazzei gewohnt, wurden auch bald der \u201eZisola\u201c, der \u201eDoppiozeta\u201c und der \u201eEffe Emme\u201c mit sehr guten Punktevergaben und zahlreichen Pr\u00e4mierungen belont.<\/p>\n<p>Die Weine von Zisola sind \u00fcber wenige Online-H\u00e4ndler verf\u00fcgbar, in &#8222;echten&#8220;
